I am currently a 1st Year Ph.D in Computer Science student at Stony Brook University where I am developing assisitve applications for people with low vision or limited movement under the supervision of Professor I.V Ramakrishnan
I am also co-advised by Professor Haibin Ling where I am working on developing a 6D Pose Estimation algorithm for use in robotics system.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S in Computer Science (Honors) at Stony Brook University where I was actively involved in undergraduate research at the Human Language Analysis Beings Lab (HLAB), the Data Management and Biomedical Data Analytics Lab (BMI-DB) and the Computer Vision Lab (CV Lab). My research interests includes Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction and Computing for Social Good.
I conducted research under the supervision of Professor Minh Hoai Nguyen, Professor H.Andrew Schwartz, Professor Ritwik Banerjee and Professor Fusheng Wang.
My Senior Honors Thesis was "Quantifying and Detecting Whataboutism in Social Media Comments" where I applied deep-learning language features to create a semi-supervised graph propogation algorithm that can identify "whataboutism" in Youtube comments with an accuracy of up to 70%.
As an undergraduate, I was also involved with the EyeCanDo Project where I am currently implementing gesture recognition features to an application used by ALS patients with limited movement. Our work on EyeCanDo has been published at IUI 2022..
