Data Science Lectures


Data Science is a rapidly emerging discipline at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, data visualization, and mathematical modeling. This course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to Data Science by challenging student groups to build predictive models for upcoming events, and validating their models against the actual outcomes.

Below are video and lecture slides for my Fall 2020 Zoom Data Science (CSE 519) course and my Fall 2016 pre-COVID, in-class lectures. My video lectures are also closed-captioned on YouTube. You can enable the subtitles by clicking on the CC button on the bottom of the video.

My lectures are based on my book The Data Science Design Manual. I have also written several other popular books in the fields of algorithms, programming, and mathematics. The Algorithm Design Manual is widely used as an undergraduate text in algorithms and within the tech industry for job interview preparation.
