Author Instructions for Video Submission Instructions

Note: Please follow workshop paper instructions for papers accepted in Workshops, Doctoral Forum, Demonstrations, BlueSky, REU Symposium, and the Undergraduate & High School Symposium.

ALL pre-recorded presentations must be uploaded before 20 October 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: Late submissions will not be accepted.
The Upload tool will be disabled on 21 October.

Video Requirements

  • All videos must be in MPEG-4 format (.mp4), ideally at 1920×1080 resolution.
  • Naming: Files must be named using the format paperID-firstAuthorLastName.mp4.

For example:

  • X345-smith.mp4

NOTE: Incorrectly named files will not be displayed on the conference site


Video Upload Instructions

To submit your MP4 file and metadata, you will need to create an account.
Follow this link to the Computer Society’s Conference Publishing Services site:

The following metadata is required for video submissions:

  • Video Title – must match the accepted paper title exactly
  • List of Speakers – author list
  • Description – short abstract for use in digital library
  • Keywords – optional, but recommended
  • Leave the Session field blank.

You must digitally sign the release form to enable the Upload File button.

Recording Your Video

You can use any software application you wish to record your MP4 video.
Some available options are listed below:

Verification:

  • To encode/re-encode your video in the right format, you can use the free Handbrake
  • To check that your video is in the right format, you can use the free software MediaInfo

After recording your talk, please rewatch it to ensure that the video and audio are recorded correctly.
It’s a good idea to do a short test recording first to verify that your settings are correct before investing the time to do the full presentation.
