Call for PhD Forum
The IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) 2026 Ph.D. Forum provides an exceptional opportunity for emerging researchers to present their ongoing work, discuss their career aspirations, and engage with the broader academic and industrial community.
Designed specifically to support researchers navigating the job market, this forum creates a collaborative environment for doctoral students, postdocs, and recent graduates to share methodologies and preliminary findings. Participants will benefit from detailed, constructive feedback on their research trajectory from established experts, explore potential career opportunities with institutions and companies actively recruiting in the field, and build lasting collaborative relationships with a global cohort of peers. Moreover, participants will showcase their personal brand to connect with potential employers and unlock better career opportunities, and promote themself effectively to stand out and land their ideal job.
Eligibility
To foster a diverse and high-quality exchange of ideas, the forum is open to:
Currently enrolled Ph.D. students.
Postdoctoral researchers.
Early-career researchers who have graduated within the past two years.
Topics of Interest
Submissions encompass a wide spectrum of topics within data mining research, reflecting the broad scope of the IEEE ICDM 2026 Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: big data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, databases, information retrieval, social media analysis, and multimedia and web mining.
Application areas of data mining, such as social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, the web, marketing, finance, precision medicine, health informatics, and other domains, are highly encouraged.

Attendance & Registration Policy
Accepted participants are required to register for the IEEE ICDM 2026 conference. Please note that in-person attendance is strictly required for all participants to present their work and engage with mentors. Remote participation is not available for this event. For registration categories and fee details, please refer to the main ICDM 2026 conference website.
