The GRD seeks high-quality original research submissions in any area of Computer Science. Content may be based on work by the author that has been published or is currently under submission. Authors must be graduate students within the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University.
The review process is unblinded. To apply, authors are asked to provide a 250-word abstract of their work and submit a poster using this PowerPoint template. Poster submissions should be in PDF format. We recommend editing your poster using Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. Please note that the content organization in the template is a suggestion – please keep the heading section, color scheme, and font the same, but feel free to move content (figures, text sections etc.) as you see fit. Also note that the font sizes provided in the template are the minimum required to maintain readability, so please don’t use smaller font sizes. We will be creating a poster booklet with author names/photos, titles/abstracts, and links to the full poster. After acceptance, authors will have a chance to make changes to their posters before it's included in the booklet.
Please submit your poster at this Google Form along with an abstract, limited to 250 words, and a headshot that will appear in the booklet. You will be required to sign in using your departmental email when you submit. You may resubmit as often as you'd like, but we'll close the form after the deadline.
The provided poster template is inspired by the horizontal poster template available on the University of Washington's website.
We've provided several links below for tips on how to organize the content and presentation of your poster:
