Introduce yourself! 🗣

Hi everyone! My name is Yu Ying, and I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. During my time at SBU, I was part of the WiCS eboard, where I first served as an Event Committee Member and later as the Event Committee Chair.


How have you been involved with WiCS 💻 during your time at Stony Brook, and what impact has the organization had on you? 📝

I have been involved with WiCS since my sophomore year when I first started attending events more consistently and learning more about the organization. I had just switched into the major and was glad to have a community through the mentoring program. From there, I decided to run for a position when elections came around. Aside from the leadership experience, WiCS has allowed me to meet so many amazing people who have supported me throughout my time in college. It has certainly been a meaningful part of my college experience, and I’m grateful for the friendships and experiences I’ve gained through WiCS 🩵.


If you could give some advice to your younger self, what would it be? 💌

To enjoy college more and not stress so much about having everything figured out!
