Use Figma to mock up your software solution. You can develop your prototype online at https://www.figma.com/ or you can download the app locally at https://www.figma.com/downloads/
In either case, you should make backups of your prototype using Figma > File > Save local copy... found in the upper left corner of the editor window.
You will be able to share the prototype with your team using the blue "Share" button in the upper right corner of the editor, or you can create a team on the Figma start page of your account in the left hand panel. Be sure to also share your final design with itethics@cs.stonybrook.edu
Your prototype should have 5 screens, such as login, main menu, and screens that represent the core functions of the app. Icons, buttons, and menus should link the screens together, using the linking tool in the "Prototype" tab in the upper right of the editor's properties panel.
Text should be legible, and navigation and functions must be well labeled and understandable. Ideally the app should have a "look and feel" that is attractive, and reflects both your client and their constituents, as defined in your research. Using graphics and/or photos, not just text, can help to tell the story.
When you are done with your design you must export the screens to a pdf file, using Figma > File > Export frames to PDF... found in the upper left corner of the editor window. You will upload the pdf as a file in Brightspace.
Example prototype: The SBU Food Pantry
