https://www.brainpickings.org/2014/01/03/baloneydetectionkitcarlsagan/

Your job is to find examples of bad arguments from the press, politics, economics, advertising, and so on. Include a link to the article, or interview, or video clip, and give a brief synopsis. Then state which bad arguments you identified. Ad hominem? Slippery slope? Straw man? No true Scotsman? Appeal to irrelevant authority? Nonsequitur? Equivocation? Call out the phrase that triggered your “BS detector”. Find three examples. One guideline: seek out reputable news organizations and media outlets, not partisan blogs or forums, or crank social media posts.
