The example above was created for the Long Island Museum's exhibit of sports on Long Island in the 19th and 20th centuries. It ran on a touchscreen kiosk, and was one of the most popular features of the show.
The scripting wasn't difficult for this multiple choice quiz. The key thing was the organization of the score andthe cast. By grouping the questions together and the scripts together editing was facilitated. It was easy to reuse scripts in this way. The screen shot of the score below gives you some idea of the complexity of the application:
It's hard to make a quiz entertaining. The audio and graphics in this quiz - all from the exhibit - helped make it fun. One nice feature of Director is to recognize cue points embedded in a SoundEdit 16 .aif file. The cue points help to synchronize images and audio, as in the opening slideshow.
