Graduate Student, Stony Brook University
"The computer is the most remarkable tool we’ve ever come up with. It’s the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds." - This quote by Steve Jobs has inspired me ever since I read about him in a newspaper article.
My interest in computers led me to opt for Engineering in Information Technology at the University of Mumbai. I rate these years of study at college among the best years of my life as I spent a lot of time in the computer laboratory learning programming and participating in various extra-curricular activities such as being the Google Ambassador of my college, a Microsoft Certified personnel and the Chairperson of Computer Society of India.
I am currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, graduating in December 2018. I have taken up subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science Fundamentals, Analysis of Algorithms and Computing with Logic. I am currently working on multiple projects in wide range of domains. In the data science domain, I am making a prediction system for determining the outcome of cricket matches, where all past data of cricket matches since 1800's is considered for an accurate analysis using Python. My another project is in the field of AI, where I am developing a Pacman game which analyses the current state of the game and selects the best path to win using various heuristic search techniques.
I am currently looking for an Internship in Summer 2018. My ambition is to focus on creating solutions for real life business problems faced by many organisations and indeed help the society.
