EXAM INFO AND INSTRUCTIONS

You will have 80 minutes to complete the midterm exam and 150 minutes for the final exam. Have your SBU ID with you for inspection.
No makeup exams are allowed.
You may not use books, smart watches, notes, or calculators during the exam. You should store all books, bags, jackets and non-essential material away from your desk during the exam. All electronic devices must be shut-off and stored away from your desk.
You're not allowed to leave the exam room for any reason; otherwise you're done with the test.
No student will be admitted 20 minutes after exam starts.
No questions will be answered during last 10 minutes of exam.
All answers must be in blue or black non-erasable ink. If you answer in pencil or erasable ink, you forfeit the right to have your exam reviewed in case of grading error.
Read each question carefully and THINK before you write down an answer. Use the scrap paper provided to work out a solution or idea if you need to, but all answers must be written on the exam paper in their proper places for full credit. Scrap paper will not be graded.
GIVING OR RECEIVING UNAUTHORIZED ASSISTANCE DURING THIS EXAM WILL RESULT IN A CHARGE OF ACADEMIC DISHONESTY WITHOUT WARNING.

*Falsifying documentation of a family emergency or illness is equivalent to academic dishonesty in this course.

Exams are given at special times on the days indicated below. You must attend the exam for your section only.

MORE INSTRUCTIONS

There will be one 80-minute midterm and one 150-minute final in this class. All exams are mandatory. Students must arrive on time for each exam; students arriving late will be given the remaining time only to complete the exam. All exam answers must be written in ink without using "White Out". Students should bring their SBU ID to each exam for verification of enrollment in the course.

Makeup exams are NOT ALLOWED, except for students who are very sick, injured or have a serious family problem (e.g. death in the immediate family). All makeup exams must be approved by the instructor and must include valid documentation of the incident. The instructor reserves the right to request additional documentation or investigate any documentation that is submitted before a makeup is graded.

PLEASE NOTE: Cheating of any kind is not tolerated during exams. Any student caught cheating (giving or receiving unauthorized assistance during an exam) will fail this course immediately and will face disciplinary action by the University. No warning is given. DON'T DO IT!
