CSE 661: Seminar in Data Privacy

This seminar covers current research directions in data privacy and cryptography, with a focus on topics at the forefront of the field. Each week, a speaker — either a student or an invited researcher — presents a paper or ongoing research, followed by open discussion.

Topics include (but are not limited to): secure multiparty computation, zero-knowledge proofs, quantum cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, data-storage security, and cryptographic approaches to watermarking LLM-generated text.

The seminar is open to graduate students with a background in theoretical computer science or cryptography. Active participation in discussions is expected.

Schedule

The presentation schedule is maintained in a Google Doc. Presenters are expected to share slides and any relevant materials at least 24 hours before their talk.
